Where were you born?

Normal, Illinois

5 words that best describe you:

Tall x5

What's one fact about Whitney that very few people know and you're willing to share?

I was born 3 months premature.

What's the best advice someone ever gave you?

Do what you want, constantly.

Favorite thing about New York City?

That I still haven’t lost that "anything can happen" feeling about it

Least favorite?

It’s crowded and it smells

What's your idea of the perfect day?

A sunny beach day with my friends, filled with all of my favorite foods, activities, and I don’t get sunburned.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?

Either teleportation because transportation in all forms is annoying to me, or the power of super-balance so I never fall again.

What was the best mistake you ever made?

Quitting my job with no real plan that one time.

Favorite pastime?

Hanging out and laughing with friends and family

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Obviously somewhere tropical and hidden and, not so obviously, small towns in the Midwest, the South, Southern California surf towns.

What are you listening to these days?

Ciara's new album has been in heavy rotation.

What event in your lifetime marked you the most?

Probably birth, right?

What qualities do you require in a friend?

A solid moral compass, the ability to find comedy in all situations, and loyalty

Who are your style icons?

My sister in the 90s, my mom in the late 60s/70s, anyone who marches to the beat of their own weird wardrobe drum.

3 things on your lifelong bucket list:

Make enough money to make myself and all my loved ones comfortable enough to pursue their own passions, find the perfect counterpart, and have a really tight family of my own someday.

What's inside your handbag right now?

Wallet, keys, water, pro bar, gym clothes, toothbrush and toothpaste.

If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

I’m really more of a snacker, so I would love to have a bowl of popcorn with Connie Duncan. It sounds crazy because she died when I was about 4, but she was the first person in my life I can remember feeling like she understood how to communicate with me, and I felt extremely at ease around her. I often wonder what she would think of me now, and I like to think she's been looking out for me this whole time.
