I was born in Asmara, Eritrea, which was Ethiopia at the time. I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden.

I am always discovering and rediscovering. Right now, I am back in Brooklyn.

To challenge, inspire and raise our daughters to be the best they can be and make a difference

I run all over New York.

What are you looking forward to this year?

I look forward to new challenges. I am very excited about running the New York City Marathon, the Boston Marathon and my first ultra marathon.

If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

Right now it would be a series of dinners with female runners that have paved the way. I would start with Kathrine Switzer.
